GRAPES

Barbera, Croatina and Uva Rara.

PRODUCTION ZONE

40 years vineyards on slopes over 200 metres above sea level, with south-eastern exposure.

TRAINING

Trellis-trained with replacement cane - pruned (Guyot) Vertical Shoot Position.

SOIL

Complex with a succession of gypsum, sandy and clay layers.

WINE MAKING

Maceration can last up to 12 days; after fermentation, oak maturation for 12 months minimum.

TASTING NOTES

Its deep ruby colour is accompanied by a bouquet that has deep mixed berry aromas, while hints of nutmeg, green pepper and balsamic filter through the meshed net of blackberry and cranberry notes. The palate is powerful and flowing because of the well-balanced acidity and the pleasant tannin gives it a long-lasting finish.

Potential for ageing: can drink now, but it has potential for ageing. Alcohol level: 13,5% vol.
